Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Toolpath Viewer software and the website toolpathviewer.com. It is written by the person who runs both: Ricky Went, sole trader, Queensland, Australia. Questions to [email protected].

The software

Toolpath Viewer runs entirely on your computer. It makes no network connections, sends no telemetry, and has no accounts. It stores two things locally: a list of your recently opened file paths (so the Recent menu works) and, for Pro, your licence key. Your programs and anything you edit in them never leave your machine. If a future version adds an update check, it will only fetch a version number from our server and will be described here first.

The website

The site is static and hosted on Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. Cloudflare records standard server logs, including your IP address, to serve and protect the site; these are handled under Cloudflare's privacy policy and we do not use them to identify you.

When you buy

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as merchant of record. Paddle collects the details a payment needs, such as your name, email address, payment method and country (to work out tax), and handles them under Paddle's own privacy policy. Paddle sends us your name, email address and what you bought so we can issue your licence key and help you with it. We keep those details for as long as you hold a licence, and for as long as tax law requires us to keep sales records after that.

When you email us

If you write to us, we keep the email so we can reply and follow up. We do not add you to any mailing list unless you ask to join one, and you can leave it any time by replying.

Who else sees your data

Only Paddle (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting and email routing). We do not sell or share your details with anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address above. We follow the Australian Privacy Act and will respect the rights you have under the privacy law where you live, including the GDPR if you are in the EU or UK.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published here with a new date at the top.
