Licence questions
Short version: download it, use Pro for 30 days, and if you keep it, one payment covers that seat forever.
What the trial gives me
Thirty days of everything, from first launch, with no card and no account. The status bar shows the days left. When it ends, the app becomes Core: router and 3D-printer files keep working in full, and KUKA and hotwire programs still open read-only, limited to the first 5,000 moves, so you can always look at a file even if you never buy.
What happens after I buy
Your licence key is emailed to the address used at checkout, usually within minutes. In the app choose Help ▸ Enter Licence…, paste the whole key and click Activate. That is the entire process: there is no account to create and no sign-in.
Does it check a licence server?
No. The key is a signed document that the app verifies on your own machine, so it works on a machine PC with no network at all. Nothing about you or your files is ever sent anywhere. The one connection the app makes is an optional update check, which you can turn off under Help.
What is a seat, and how many computers?
A seat is one person's licence, and it covers the two computers that person uses, typically the office PC and the machine PC. The Shop pack is five seats bought together for people in one business. Since the key is not locked to hardware, replacing a PC needs no phone call: install and paste the same key.
The 12 months of updates
A Pro purchase includes every version released in the following 12 months. After that the software keeps working exactly as it is, forever. If you want the versions released later, a renewal is US$79; skipping it costs you nothing you already had.
I changed my mind
Ask within 14 days and you get a refund, no questions. See the refund policy.
I lost my key
Email [email protected] from the address you bought with, or tell us the name on the receipt, and it is re-sent.
Non-commercial
The US$79 tier is the same software, licensed to a private individual for personal use: RC builders, students and home shops. It is not for use by or for a business, which is what the US$249 seat is for.
Who am I buying from?
Ricky Went, trading as Wombat Logic, a sole trader in Queensland, Australia (ABN 17 141 560 070). Payment is handled by Paddle as merchant of record, which issues your receipt or tax invoice and handles GST or VAT for your country.
